I bought the pickup a million years ago, when they probably were first introduced, and I get close to zero bass response from it - the strings from 1 to 3 overpower the 4-6 ones by being much lowder. Indonesian Fender? That's something new. Don't get me wrong, I personally think that modern Squiers are on par with any Fender. But charging Fender money for a Squier guitar is a scam.

These Teisco-ish guitars used to be dirt cheap and have been treated generally like garbage and I doubt a lot of people went as far as refretting them and replacing the wacky parts like the tuners and bridges to make them playable.
