maybe the mexijazz pickup wasn't what i thought it was? dunno. all i know is that it wouldn't fit in there in its normal cover and the jag cover doesn't really fit it.

thanks! so the jazz pu was dead. i found a mexican jazz pu and threw it in... well, stuffed it in. forget what i said about the pickups being standard size. the jazz on the jag is longer and thinner than the mexican pu i put in. had to squeeze it in the jag's cover to get it in there... and the pole...

so i got this today. looks good. plays good. the jazz pickup/pot doesn't work. from what i understand (and from playing the regular scale version of this) each pickup has its own volume pot. the p bass pu works fine. i just took the control plate off and everything looks in order. this sucks. very c...

well, most of the record anyway. i bought this mustang from brambleperro, and the other guitar player bought this fakenbacker from nick. the first two tracks on the player on this website will be on the record... 17 tracks due out in july on sorry state records. i love this site.

anybody played on yet? my friend just got the regular scale squier jag bass and it is very cool. sounds great. plays well. a little light. some really dumb active "bass boost" going on, but whatever. i want the short scale!
