I think that GFS has that same trem for cheap from the original National catalog! Might be better way to cover those screw holes!

I thought it'd be something like that, but then how is he managing to sing the right melody if the pitch shifting is a gradual thing? EDIT: Unless my understanding of pitch shifting is deeply flawed. That's why he's using in-ear monitors in both ears. What vampire boy is hearing in his monitors is ...

Most use paraffin or paraffin & bees wax blend. Just maintain a temp somewhere above melting point and considerably lower than flash point, and drop them in for 10-15 mins or until they stop bubbling. Remove and scrape the cooled wax off the outside and you're done. Just be careful - NO OPEN FLA...

maybe because its On-Sell was a 22" people want 24". 22" too short :< Just be patient, no one will grab that at 279. It would have to have original tuners or be REALLY clean. As I mentioned, I've bought 65-71 Mustang/Duo necks for $100-$200 (depending on if they had been sanded or st...

I see he also cut you a pick guard without the switchplate. I'm inclined to lean that way and just have the swithes mounted into that. Might be too busy with chrome, but that's just how I like them!

is that a low price for a mustang neck? i thought they were closer to 150-200 top end. i didn't realize they had jumped in price so much, i remember watching a couple block and bound jaguar necks go for around 200 bucks about 7-8 years ago. You are correct. Lots are "listed" for more, but...

I love gold tops, and I have newfound respect for deluxe series. I just stickied my 77 goldtop at the top of this page earlier in the week.
How about a mini in the bridge and p90 in the neck position?

I've a hard time liking blue guitars. With that being said, Ice Blue Metallic is on my list of colors to experiment with, as well as Agave and Ocean Turquoise. I don't recall seeing anything about red in the thread (sorry if that's not the case, but its been awhile). Recently I've been playing with ...

Rule of thumb at my buddy's guitar shop: Guitar into bass head/amp is ok (almost encouraged). Bass into guitar head/amp strictly forbidden.

Alt tuning

I believe worrying about balanced string tension is more important if you use alternate tunings, where you're often raising and lowering some strings a step or two from standard. With that being said, I keep 2-3 guitars in open G, but have never adjusted string gauges. Therefore, it's probably even ...

Think again...

I almost bid on it myself this morning, thinking theres no way eBay would let them pull that shit off and i'd get the guitar at a hell of a price. Ebay can't force seller to follow through with the sale. At best, they won't allow the seller to go after you for non-payment or leave you negative feed...
