So many sigh-inducing comments in this thread - anyone who thinks slurs on this level are cool seriously needs to check themself, irrespective of their own sexual preferences. Back on topic, I judge anyone who has a ton of pedals & mounts their tuner sideways to "save space", ignoring ...

So...la Bellas arrived and I fitted them yesterday morning (I got the round wound set with a 0.95 gauge E string). Happy to report that this worked a treat. A combo of better strings & the staytrem bridge has really kicked shit up a notch. Really playable instrument now!

Have just ordered some La Bella round wounds for mine. Will report back on how these are once they arrive & I try them. Stock E string on these is jokesville though.

I've just been using a bass gig bag for mine too. Seems to do the job just fine. Just finished up my 1st recording using the Bass VI too:

Hahah....the tone of their email basically insinuates that they've done plenty of Black Hat SEO in the past, ended up being penalised by Google with algorithm changes & now are scraping the internet for any links to them & auto-firing out these kind of comms. Thing is, this site is contextua...

How many guitars is that now this week? I wish I had your cash. We all only get 1 pair of hands though, so it has to be a law of diminishing returns at some point? Anyway...back on topic, nice vi. I'm seriously loving my squier version, even more so since I upgraded the bridge to a staytrem. Enjoy ...

Could be wrong on this, but I think the competition series (both original & reissue) are CAR, as are the Pawnshop ones with the WRHBs.

Firstly, welcome. Secondly, yes. Fender make pretty much every guitar in this colour. In a way, I'm pretty happy that I don't like it more as a colour. Fender's constantly boring stock colours for most models have stopped me giving them a shitload of money over the years.

I can't wait for the Coronado to drop....excited to see whether there will be any solid colour schemes on this (although I'll gladly take a tobacco burst if not). Fender have gone up in my estimation as a result of this (I still think Squier have been on a massive roll of late though, what with the ...

Secrets to ShieldsTone 101... Step 1). Set up a fuckload of pedals (brand / settings unimportant - at least 7 or 8 must be either reverb, delay or fuzz) Step 2). Tip a small bottle of amyl nitrate into a tupperware box. Place in front of pedalboard Step 3). Turn amp up full Step 4). Stomp on all ped...

Re: Someone buy this before I do.

It says "original paint", but I suspect it isn't. It looks like someone put red over the original blue. Still, that's a really good price for a '75 Musicmaster body. I came to the same conclusion looking at the paint on this...To be honest, I think that anyone who refins over Daphne Blue ...

If this actually pans out, will be bagging one of these for sure. Squier are on fucking fire at the moment - if Fender were even 10% as on it in terms of putting out models that I would actually want to own, I'd still be some sort of fully paid up Fender fanboy. Hate to say it, as I'm normally prett...

High Towers & Deep Wells - new solo project

Hey Shortscale, After years of bands etc., I've finally got to the point where I'm done with an album where everything is played & programmed by me. I've called the project High Towers & Deep Wells....it's lots of normal instrumentation (guitar, bass vocals, piano etc.), fused with some elec...
