Re: EKO Ranger 12-string
I was talking about actual availability Believe it or not, so was I. Guess my sense of humor doesn't always translate. In the first link you posted, EBAY LINK , Set No9, says it is a Wilkinson mini 3 on a side- 3 left and 3 right. Wouldn't two No9 sets get you exactly what you need, 6 left & 6 ...

Hmm, if there's no left-handed tuners, then what does Fender use on lefty Strats & Teles I wonder?ekwatts wrote: As I think it would be pretty funny to have vintage Fender style tuners on an acoustic, but they only come right-handed; I assume I just flip the second one upside down for the left side?

Re: It's a tenor!
Anyone use one? What do they do? I play a tenor, but not one of these. Mine's an 8-string and I built it myself :) . It's a mid-range voice that fits nicely in the mix and doesn't walk over the other instruments, mostly with Celtic, Irish and folk tunes. You could use it in rock I suppose, but it w...

So there is actually an exciting update now! The other day I posted on twitter about how much I wanted a banjo, and my aunt saw it and fully supported the idea and sent me $200 that came in the mail today! That plus a $50 american express card that I got for my birthday means I can definitely go ge...

Cheers Dave. Upon reading more they are the same size as the original Tri-Sonics which are larger than standard single coils. This means altering the pickguard, something i wont do on the Lindert. Why not make a dedicated pickguard just for the new PUPs and swap out? It let would let you kee...

No need to thank me- I stole them all from various websites anyway! *Edit* Can anybody tell me how to print these full size on A4 paper? I did try a local printers, they wanted £200! But that was obviously on larger paper. There's a guy over on TDPRI(JWELLS) that tells how to do right in Adobe.You...

CD911 REad through this Link and you will gain some good information. Thanks for the info! Correct me if I've read it wrong, but a CV DuoSonic neck should work, right? I was pretty sure before I started this voyage that one of the Jag, or Jagmaster necks would work as well (maybe not just drop righ...

Fender short scale neck question
I've just acquired a second Squier Mini Strat and want to try something I've always wanted to do, make it a Fender 24" scale.I love the first one, but as 22.75 is pretty short anyway, it cramps my hands from playing the small neck after awhile. It's funny how playing a Duo-Sonic with the same sc...

Seriously like
Same scale as my Squier mini, but this thing has personality! I love this scale length and the duo-caster thing sounds great. I tried it with my last mini but used a humbucker for the bridge, was too over the top for me. My current one is 3 singles, but I've always had the itch to do a Mustang layou...

Hmmm
Maybe it's just me, but am I the only one that noticed this thing is strung backwards? A Rick (or even a copy) always has the heavy string on top with the octave string on the bottom. It is one of their trademark differences that set them apart from other 12 strings...........

mini strat
Where to begin.............., I have a Squier mini strat bought here in the states, and the pickups are no worse than any squier strat of any size, so while it does not sound great it certainly doesn't sound like crap..........maybe the ones available in europe are different. In any case, pickups ca...

I think my guild started life as a D50 12 string, as it is a dreadnought, but there are many weirdnesses about it (the reason I got it).Somewhere along the line it was retopped, with a curved, martin style pickguard added, and if that wasn't enough, the top of the peghead lopped off flat like a mart...

Well, I guess I'm a little biased here, since I've done that sort of repair, and seen that kind of damage. For me, it would be more than worth it. Those korean Epis had some decent wood in them (mostly). The parts are 30$ at Stew-Mac, so it depends on you or a friend's skill set. It works like this,...
