I do posters: Wooden Shjips, Superchunk, Goosebumps

Haven't posted in here for AAAAGES. I've been doing a load of gig posters recently. Mostly for my all time favourite venue, Brudenell Social Club in Leeds. The Goosebumps poster was for a fan exhibition I organised in Leeds and the 'Satan' image is going to be a patch for a band called Joanna Grueso...

Mines an early 70s one - the guy who does all my amp work (used to work for Matamp back in't day and now lives in my tiny little mill town) reckons it's a 72/73. Such an amazing amp for the money, got it off a local hardcore band for £250. I drive mine pretty hard and it breaks up so nicely

Ghost Effects custom Fuzz

I've been on the search for my perfect fuzz for a while now. I thought I'd solved it with my Rotosound Vintage Fuzz, which sounds amazing on record but doesn't quite cut it live as it just gets lost in the mix. I asked Ian at Ghost Effects to build me a Tonebender MK 1 clone with extra volume, a ton...

Not sure we can afford a new one but I suppose a phone call and a chat wouldn't hurt. The Hookworms bassist rang up to order a bass cab but the guy at Matamp (think it was Geoff as mentioned earlier) told him he had one with the exact same specs returned to him, had never left the owner's house, he...

not really a hard concept to get your head around. If we should only use traditional/original models does that mean Les Paul Jrs are also worthless?

because you like the offset shape but prefer the functionality of having a hardtail and fewer switches?

I don't really get the whole angst with this. If you don't like it and don't want one just don't buy one? Fender and Squier have been releasing and reissuing sought after models for decent prices recently. This is a different market and believe it or not, people have different tastes in guitars. I i...

Taking Pedals to the US

Hi all, When it comes to pedals and electronics I'm totally clueless. I'm going over to NY to play a few dates next month and have a couple of questions. I'm flying over with my pedals and my guitar and hiring/borrowing a head and cab whilst i'm there. I'm currently powering 5 of the 6 pedals on my ...
