I don't know, is LPB supposed to have a metallic look? Is that not LPB then Nick? Pretty sure the one I tested in shop a couple years back was listed as LPB. I can't find any confirmation but they looked a darker blue than LPB to me. Yeah, it’s the blue equivalent of CAR; sparkles like a lak...

Aside from looking sinister, those colours are fuckin’ brilliant.

Likely a 4 or 5-way. Neck, neck+bucker, bucker, split 1, split+neck?

NOW IF ONLY THEY WOULD BRING BACK THE MIKEY WAY SPARKLESTANG BASS
I tested a 3ts one a few years ago; when I had the extra cash, they weren’t available anymore. Might have to jump on that dark red, or lpb.

This IS appealing... I'm also a big Cure fan, and would love to play my VI through a JazzChorus. That said, I am currently running through a '72 Twin Reverb, and and AC30; this would be a bit more portable than either of those, but, perhaps still a bit on the big side for a "smaller" amp.

Excellent.
They are pretty well reviewed in the BassVI Facebook group I’m in. There are plenty of people who are Fender purists, but many also rave about the quality for price... the usual for the VM/CV Squiers.

I’ve played a coworker’s at a couple work parties, and played around with them in shops... they’re surprisingly decent little instruments. I’ve also been to a couple shows where one was used as the only bass. They work fine, but, like Nick said, the big rubbery strings ta...

I've only had a couple minutes of play time in-store on one, a couple years back... but the impression was pretty good. Seemed well built, played well... but hey, just a first impression.

Even as somebody who REALLY loves neck-pickup-only tones, I only ever found a rhythm circuit superfluous.
I don’t use it on my CP JM, but I use it all the time on my Jaguar.

You’ll likely be fine getting her the Mustang/Duo and just letting her play as-is. I got my daughter, also quite small, 15 and now ~5’, a Squier Mini, it fit her fine enough, but now she’s playing my Squier SS Jaguar Bass, and it fits her just fine... and is substantially larger than a Mustang...

Dude still hasn’t responded... this guitar isn’t for me. A friend had an original ripen Jagstang in fiesta back in the 90s, and I loved it... though I’m not sure I ever really played it through an amp. Like Rob said, the neck was unbelievably good. They look wonky, but it’s part of the charm...

What exactly is that finish? Like some kind of burst? Seems high to me as well. I don't get why MIJ, CIJ Fenders are now so much second hand. There was a time they wasn't seen as "a proper Fender". Oh shit, I thought it was done up black, and there was glare... yeah, that looks to be a sh...

Agreed.
No feedback yet, but if it's a 1995/1996 model, I might try to talk him down on it a bit.
