Heavier gauge strings would help but I like 9s. What I mean is hybrids wouldn't affect the problem string, unless I went to 10 gauge hybrids which wouldn't make sense

Changing up one string would fuck up how it feels probably.

Anyway these EBs are doing well after a week at least.

It's shimmed for a TOM and the tailpiece is closer to the bridge like a Classic Player. It definitely doesn't catch.

Also dots, it's the high e string so don't think hybrids are going to help.

I really think this is about certain strings (brand/gauge, as well as scale length possibly)

But yeah you're right, that's exactly what I was doing. Thankfully I've had the chance to hear myself recorded so can reflect on it. If it's my own material then it's fair game but cover songs, nahhhh. Also glad to see someone else (Gus) has experienced the issue I'm referring to, you gaslighting **...

I'm always ragging that trem. Some videos were taken of this NYE wedding gig we did and I'm doing "tasteful" wobbles and light dives on almost every hanging chord. Thought it sounded the nuts but watching it back the overuse makes it sound cheesy and a bit cringe

Hard to remember because I’ve been using Fender Bullets for so long. Varied - usually after a week, usually before a month?

Quite possibly, and 9s. I never had it happen on my Jaguar (except once?) but also used 10s or 11s.

Demo - 3 days in Wanted to do this on day 1 but I'm lazy. Have done a quick a demo of some badly played open-tuned wankery using a Sansamp Vox-style clone straight into DAW (no compression etc.). Should have dialled in a nicer tone but everything at 12 o'clock will be easier to remember in 3 months...

Ernie Ball Paradigms to Stop Unwinding Jaguar/Jazz e Strings

Context and Preamble Like me, some of you lads no doubt have the curse of top e strings unwinding at the ball-end when using a Jazzmaster/Jaguar tremolo, particularly with lighter gauge strings. For me this has happened with loads of popular off-the-shelf strings: Ernie Ball Slinkys, Daddario XLs, ...

They're all pretty much identical. The ones I listed are good and cheap. Depends if you want a big box or micro, and what alternative diode clipping options you want as the Mooer only has vintage (silicon) and turbo (LED), whereas the Little Bear and Tomsline have both and a third too (germanium or ...

It seems like all of these cheaper clones do a good job of recreating the real deal, but they’ve ALWAYS been more compressed and mid-focussed... odd. My Mooer RAT was no exception. Maybe low and top end just costs more? I bet that Battalion would actually sound sick on guitar; way more flexi...

But honestly, I wanted a Rat. So... I might try out the Flatiron. Might still go with the cheapo Rat that's being sold on eBay I saw a while back (something like £35 with P&P from China: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-RAT-Tack-Guitar-Bass-Distortion-Effector-effect-Stomp-Box-Fuzz-Pedal-LED/2817...

I really like the sound of the Pelt Fuzz. Been watching a few vids

Lots of nice tones and gated stuff going on, but not to the point of silliness. Her playing is pretty sweet, too.

I've had a few of their micro-pedals, of which there are now many rebrands going on(!), and they've all been very good for the price. I wish this gear was around when I was a kid.
