Probably a 60s fender color, leaning towards a Fiesta/Dakota Red right now. And yep, she's a set neck, twas a bitch to get the pocket leveled and the screws didn't line up with the existing holes. I basically got fed up and said, fuck it, I'm gluing this bitch in. And so it was done. Just getting th...

I voted for my tried and true Super Sonic, although I would LOVE to own a Fiesta Jag. I think I have robroe envy! *arsecake*

Although, the Duncans in the Super Sonic make it mighty bright, I love it to death.

Aye, does sound microphonic a bit. It seemed like it went away when you hit the switch. I'd check the grounds just to rule them out, maybe try shielding the cavity/pickguard? I'm not sure if it would help your particular case, but its just a suggestion. The info in this thread should put you ...

Right now, the color is dependant on the neck I'm getting, I'm hoping to find a cheap Bullet neck to put on it, but who knows. I'll prob have pics up either later today, or tomorrow

I could have sworn Gibson already did the 60s studio tribute, or was that the ones with humbuckers?

Right now I have the rough bore'd out pocket, I just have to sand the pocket down so I can dry fit a neck to it, then I can get the measurements/placement for the other routes.

It's important to point out - you'll want to balance pickup height and polepiece height. Two different things with two different sonic differences.
Cheers benecol, I forgot to mention the polepiece height as well. :)

Should be in the Effects, Amps & Gear section.

Definitely tweak the pickup height to find a setting your comfortable with. It may take a lil while to dial it in, but it's loads better than dismissing a pickup or replacing it. Patience is key.

Big old pos Fender FM212R + Drive Chanlulz = do an riff! I like the FM, even if the speakers can be shite, It was cheap, its loud, has a good clean channel and when dialed in, overdrives nicely. No Pedals, I'm a cheap bastard when it comes to stuff like that, and I prefer just plug right into the am...

Yeah, sounds prettty slinky for a short scale, but mind you this is coming from the 14s-in-standard guy so :P With a shortscale such as a jag, a general rule of thumb, in many people's opinion is to have a gauge heavier than what you would use on a longscale guitar. That being said, heavier strings ...

The intonation is pretty damn good with the stock saddles, the tuners work well. I do my own setups but the out of the box string height was usable. The pickups are great for the money. I rewired the geetar to have neck tone, and bridge tone, while having the middle wide open. Very usable I find. Ch...
