I think our drummer only uses one rack tom anyway, so that's okay. I'll do what you say and have one mic on the kick and one pointing at the snare. That's what we've done before, and it seemed to pick the toms up fairly well, I just thought you might know a better way of doing it. Cheers.

I usually mic up guitars as well, but a USB condenser could work for that.
