All guitars should be played like you you borrowed them from your brother-in-law or just took them off the wall at GC.

I'm sure you could find nicer. I am planning to make a nice version of this soon.

You say that now, but once you have a single push/pull vol/tone pot installed you will have infinite fun dicking around with it. You have separate pots for vol and tone and you dime both; but with just one it is a blast. You can't stop fucking with it.endsjustifymeans wrote: I don't need no stinking tone!

I cannot remember all of the construction details of you mosrite project, did you laminate two layers of MDF to get the thickness? You could laminate a thin layer of plywood (luan door skins) as a middle layer. That would give a backbone so the pocket would be stronger (spread the torsional stress o...

I would think that you should make something that you personally like and can be proud of, but tailor it to a defined market. For example middle age dude with job and guitar fetish may not be your market (MDF or plywood). They tend to like brands and $$ for guitars. But cool, maybe retroish styling ...

So looking at options for a low watt tube combo amp that can OD, looks like Bugerav5, crate v5 and Kustom 12A (not a true tube amp0. The Bugera v5 looks the most appealing it has a 0.1, 1 and 5 watt power attenuation options and headphone jack and line out. Aonther option is to get something else an...

Well then any suggestions? I have been looking at some very low watt tube amps. Like 1/4 watt stuff. I would like something that has some rock tones. I have an old pig nose that is cool but kind of one dimensional. LIke I said, I have a roland cube 20 that sounds good with the clean channel, but eve...

champ 600 overdrive good?
MF has Fender champ 600 for $150. I am looking for a small tube practice amp (hate my cube 20). Does this amp sound nice overdriven with pedal boost?

I recommend the green scotch brite pads as well. You won't get little bits of metal floating around. If you go to your local auto parts store, you can pick up 1200 and 5000 grit sand paper. This is very nice for getting that glass smooth feel. I use on my pool cue all the time. After you use the gre...

Doing a little research and found this. Warning - not safe for haters:

The one I am looking at seems to be a cross between the Silvertone Morsrite (body and pup configuration) and the Silvertone Slider (same neck).

I am really trying to figure out a way to wheel and deal this guitar into my house. I gave my daughter my old Fernandez strat with sustainer. I am going to try and trade that in and spend some cash to make the balance. Then we would be halfzies with the guitar. Maybe it will be an investment, don't ...

I know. I am hating myself that I cannot just buy the thing and hide it for a while. They want $420 for it. The rub is I just had shoulder surgery on my right shoulder last week. Since I live in the USA this costs me lots of money, even though I have insurance. So I don't even know the end tally to ...

shaboing! silvertone
Looked at this at the store today. Loved everything about it. Did not plug it in but strummed around on it. No way I could sneak it into the house right now since I just brought home a duo sonic two weeks ago. Any opinions on these. looked like curly maple on top and bottom. But was light so maybe a...
