Looks like a good deal! Blues Jr was my first tube amp and I really wish I still had one.

Keep plugging away dude! You're nearing the hump at the top of the hill....don't put it down and you'll wake up one day and be fucking surprised at where you've ended up. One thing that always got me back up on the horse in the beginning was getting someone to rekonize my development. If I went for ...

I've owned a marshall 1936 and a bogner 2x12 (much different speakers) but I'd say that the price was damn near worth the difference in it's sound and construction. I got them both used on craigslist, think the marshall was $300 and the bogner was $500 but with my 800 on top, there was no question i...

I like it!

I never learned a full song until I joined a band and to this day I don't remember a full cover for the life of me. I always get some then give up, or stealz it for my own song (since I end up making shit up on b/c I can't remember or learn it properly).

keep it up, that was refreshing.

What guitar(s) are you using? Single coils or Humbuckers? I never liked the OCD much, but never tried a DD. You can really get into Marshall territory, in face the only amp I have left (at the moment) is a silverface champ and the DLS gets some serious crunch and with the MBM version it get both mod...

I duno, I just got rid of my ac30 and it had the warfedale speakers and used a MBM DLS and it got into some real deal Marshall territory. On old version switch it was JMP and new version switched it was 800'ish and beyond when pushed hard. Might consider a decent pedal to shape the sound up through ...

401's sound good man...however I believe they run pretty hot and have some issues. I remember my roommate modding his with some type of shit inside to keep it from getting too hot.

What are you looking for sound wise...anything in particular of his stuff or more general overall sound?

Can usually snag silverface champs/vibrochamps for 250'ish. I got one for that a couple months ago and it's a great house/apartment amp.

you found a mig-50 for $250 and haven't bought it yet? This x2. They're both great options but you can always find Classic 30's in that range, and sometimes a bit cheaper depending where you are at in the country. The mig is killer and typically goes for a little more than that (from when I was loo...

I picked up a AC30CC2 recently on the cheap, and I'm really impressed with how the warfdale speaker sound. They really handle pedals and don't have that spikey/shrill sound I used to get with my DRRI. It's got more bells and whistles than I'm used too but it's a nice change of pace. It seems somewha...

I don't know that the difference between vintage/new Rats amounts to much more than mojo. To my ears, I can say there is a big difference. I've had an old vintage rat and it really had almost fuzz like qualities. You could dial it down and get some awesome overdrives too. I've had a couple newer mo...
