forgot to report. got my worm few weeks ago. so far i really like it, and should probably do a demo. sounds really good with exp pedal in wah mode. love the vibrato. tremolo sounds a bit like phaser (?), and i suppose they have something like treble bleed there, so at low depth it gets kinda hissy, ...

I think that would be cool, too, but it wouldn't ring true for most readers, because these things are SO subjective. And I hate to be that guy but, after a certain point, tone is inthe fingers. I agree. Also, I like what Fran said about comparing Jag and Strat, sounds valid. What comes from my expe...

Cool thread.

Now not trying to derail or anything, but on topic of comparison of different guitars... Would be awesome if somebody gave rough sound difference description between 1) Mustang and Jag and 2) Strat and Jazzmaster.

Go with any open tuning, like G or D, or maybe C. Basically, it's easier to do with an open tuning. You might even come up with your own.

I had a JJ 6v6 die in my fender champ clone in about two months, and I didn't even turn it louder than 70%. It looked like vacuum breakage problem, the silver thing went white.

do you have to put a new nut if you want to string it upside down, or can you just flip the stock one?

I have got the new one. I love it. The old ones make lots of noise. Check out this video I got the gearmandude to do for me when I was trying to decide if I wanted the old one or new one.. I bought the new one after I saw it. The new one is very quiet. I love the auto wah and phaser. I have other t...

Caution Mr Taxi; I've heard plenty of griping about these: noisy, and not in a good way. true, the old one has the noise, i could hear it myself, especially in tremolo mode. that's what stopped me from buying it, aside from it's enormous size of course. but the videos on the tube suggest that the n...

EHX The Worm (now with demo)

does anybody have any experience with this pedal? i'm particularly interested in using it with expression pedal - would that sound as a wah good enough? and does the new version have expression input anyway? played with the old version at...

hex wrenches, a screwdriver, a chromatic tuner, probably a feeler gauge. and ofc some experience so you don't break your truss rod

Not a fan of maple tops and pickguardless guitars, but that mid-shift thingy is a nice touch. Maybe you could do a demo? I've had my clapton strat for over two weeks now, and although I find the mid boost wonky, the TBX tone control is actually nice. In fact, it is much more useful than regular tone...

Ever heard of Andy McKee? He has individual tuning for (almost) each of his songs. He has about three guitars I think, one of them is baritone or something. When performing live he just tunes it by hand between songs.

So another option might be to just get very good at tuning
