On the subject of building. List of costs; Neck £25 Body blank £30 Pickup £13 Pickguard £11 Other stuff £35ish Paint £50 I spent £20 on a router. £8 on a sander. £6 on some drill bits and about £30 on router bits. But I can re-use these tools on other projects, so it's money well spent.

Quick update: I sorted out the quietness, i got some shielding paint on the jack socket (don't ask!). Strung it up with Ernie Ball 12s. The Innotation is off and the bridge is on a fucking stupid angle and the grub screws are too short, but is kinda playable. Might have to space the bridge up a bit?...

Try this for an "A" chord: Fret the D-string with your middle finger, the G with your index, and the B with your ring. It's a little awkward at first and you have to be careful that you don't push the G sharp, but it's the best fingering for getting all the notes clearly in my experience....
