Yeah, bronco style pickguard.
Will be string through too.

It's gonna be either white or burgundy mist, with white pickguard, that's what I got and I got no money to buy any more.
I'm moving closer to BM though.

Looks a bit more like a guitar... http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g45/greasermonkeyinprint/Guitars/08022010.jpg I routed some cavities for some 'lectrics. I stole my switch placement idea from that blue bronco that has been posted on here a few times. Gonna try to make a pick guard for it tomorrow...

Pens, in all seriousness. That looks like it would snap in half if anyone screwed a neck on, let alone strung it up!.
Look closely at the pics.
They glued a filler piece in the original neck pocket. Then routed away from the back. It's not even straight!
I wouldn't touch it.

This is my second neck build. The first had a few mistakes, but that's what life is about. In my opinion the most important thing is to establish a datum. Truss rod on the centre line with frets and nut perpendicular to it. I started with my plank (19X115mm PAR maple) I drew on my centre line, marke...

I'm impressed Cur! I don't think I'm skilled enough for a 1 piece neck. I presume you're going to have a skunk stripe? I've done a fair ammount of research before starting this. I've spent hours on You Tube, various web forums (tdrpi.com especially), and some other instructional websites. I looked a...

I started radius sanding the fret board, but got bored. So I made myself a new template for the pickguard. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g45/greasermonkeyinprint/Guitars/29012010_002.jpg Basically, it's the outline of a bronco PG but tweaked in the bridge area. A bit like a late musicmaster. htt...

new projects: Muttstang build + tele refin.

I started with MDF and made templates. For the body I used my bronco, traced, cut sanded and checked for accuracy. For the neck template I used my Jagstang neck. Using a combination of measuring and tracing, I think its pretty accurate. I bought 2 mahogany one piece body blanks at a local hardware s...

How I did it Loosen the screw. Install trem arm Tighten screw really tight Rotate trem arm about it's axis (spin it around) Tighten screw. Spin. Do this a couple of times and the end of the screw wears a groove in the trem arm. The groove stops the arm falling off. I have done this twice (jagstang a...

Mine is SQUIER, has only 20 frets and it's last fret is very close to the end of the fret board.

That pic has 21 frets and is obviously ALOT tighter than a proper strat.

now we're just talking about 25.5" scale strats? i could've sworn we were talking about the mini-strat that is the topic of this thread? removing a mid-pup on a standard strat is stupid, great tones to be had. however, when the distance between the three pickups is halved, i say it's time to l...

I don't really understand your questions. I presume English isn't your first language?

Do you have experience of setting up guitars?
As previously mentioned: intonation
I can help with set up if needed.

I don't get your string problem though, the strings don't rub on anything.

Yeah first neck.
Third time I made anything out of wood!
Made 2 guitar bodies previously.

Planning on painting that little flash on the headstock body colour.
I'm almost impressed with myself.
It has a really nice feel to it!
Still time to fuck it up yet.

NEED HELP WITH NUT PLACEMENT

PLEASE!!!

Need some TECHNICAL neck building advice

First of all, i need to apollogise for the 'I saw a UFO and heres proof' photographic style. Anyway, I have this telecaster style guitar, but never liked the neck. Was really fat backed and flat raduised. So I decided the best way to get what i want was to make it. Anyway. The question: I used a fre...

Given that i like shitty '70s stuff, i should love this! But i have never played a les paul, or any kind of replica, so don't know wether i like them or not? I have (sadly) bought the remains of a sattelite guitar of this seller. Will NEVER be a guitar again. I can't find a bridge narrow enough, and...
