It's a Sunn Mustang, basically 1980s made in India Strat.
Some of them had a more Fenderish headstock and their parent company was Fender.

Mustang on Gumtree, an 'investment piece'

Made me chuckle to myself, so thought I'd share.
Rare white Mustang guitar
I don't play myself but brought this at a London auction as a long term investment.

Wow, where did you find that neck? Do you know what it's off of? Never heard of a 24" scale Epiphone neck, especially with the book headstock. Neck salvaged from a free trashed Epi Acoustic. My guess is early '70s Japanese built (Matsumoku?) headstock is same as ET270 and similar. I'm surprise...

Re: Need some help! (BASS V template)

( Does anyone have any software that they can make a template from pictures of them online? And scale it. I'm pretty there's somebody on TDRPI that does this kind of thing and they did a tutorial, scaling from known measurements such as scale length, nut width, skewing, those kind of shennanigans (m...

I wont say wether to trade or not, but that Mustang is my actual dream guitar.
Market value of any '60s vs '70s guitar wont quite add up.
Go with your gut instinct, no regrets and all that shit

My tele I built out of Southern Ash and it's one of the lightest guitars I own. You might look for Ash one, thought Ash can vary in weight depending where it is from. The Tele that I built is Ash, but really heavy. Something like 11lbs. I bought the wood as 'American Ash', my guess 'Northern' Ash. ...

If you're not bothered about saddle per string you could swap Jazzmaster saddles (with longer screws and springs) on a Toronado base plate.
Easy peasy and jobs a good'un!

I was vaguely considering a cobble up of Squier Musicmaster and Gotoh 12 string bridges. Obivously the Squier plate and Gotoh saddles, and extra holes would need drilling. I prefer the MM baseplate as it's notably thicker than the Toronado item. But use whatever you have or can get fastest & che...

Is the outline not the same as a jazzmaster?
You could work out a decent approximation of the routes from the pickguard and control plates and maybe a picture or 2.

I'm not 100% sure why, but I read it on the internet years ago (I thought from a PDF of a Fender owners manual); it works for me.
Might be something to do with proper movement at the pivot points.
Looks right, plays right, seems logical.

Simple; Set the bridge height (hex-head bolts), tune to pitch, adjust the trem spring (Phillips screw) so the bridge plate is paralel to the body, set the intonation, tune to pitch, rock out! Setting the intonation can be a little fiddly; I found the saddles want to rotate as you nip the screws up, ...

I wouldn't say the Bronco would need taming; the pickup is farther away from the bridge, relitive to a mustang, so would tend to be a little more mellow.
The pickups are essentially the same too.
