Got this in trade from theshadowofseattle. Great guitar. Neck pickup is nice and warm. Bridge has good jangle. I am very pleased with it. (Plus the case was endorsed, right? Adds to the mojo?)

I was about to write "Doesn't Shad have one of those?" until I read the fine print. Laughing

I always liked the looks of the full-size humbucker version of the Riviera in black, would love to hear the jangle and buzz from that trapeze setup in person.

Is it a Korean one? I has one of them and It's a properly great (and my longest serving) guitar. Put it through a big muff and you've got instant Jesus and marychain tonez.

It actually has a surprising amount of sustain. I thought the trapeze might mess that up a little, but it is great. I tried behind the bridge stuff a little and didn't notice much sound like with my Jags and Jazzy's, but it sounds great. It is one of the Korean ones. Smile

I miss her already! I now feel justified to buy a black Sheraton II, though, which has a bridge that's more my speed.

Smile I have had a couple sheratons. They are nice guitars. I like the trapeze though personally. Very Happy

You should get shot of the last bit of white plastic by reversing the trussrod cover.

Nice. I like the inlays on these, much better than the ones on Sheratons.

Aye... I prefer the headstock on these too, the Sheratons are too big and I'm not keen the fancy floral pattern.

Samick or Peerless (where mine was made) would be exellent news both made really good guitars.

Peerless would be fantastic, they've really upped their game over the past year or so - they've got some guitars up in the 2K range that are absolutely beautiful, but equally unobtainable.

They're really great instruments, and some of the rarer models pop up daily on used sites over here for absolute bargains.

Hidden:

One guy is trying to sell his beautiful Falconesque 40th Anniversary Gigmaster for about a grand right now, in near-mint condition. White top w/black sides and back, Bigsby B70, original TV Jones Filtertrons, the whole bit. Only a few dozen were made, and I don't think any of them made it Stateside.

I really didn't need to see this.
