If you listen closely to this song I made for the doom comp, you can hear the metronome bleeding through onto the guitar track at the start. This happens if I record from my guitar straight into my fast track and put it through a moderately distorted plugin.
It's very annoying and it seems to happen in everything except audacity (sonar and audition), which may be because the metronome in audacity is just a click track you can generate, it's not built into the software.
What would be causing this? _________________ http://alligatr.co.uk/ |

Great song Reece.
Sounds like your click track is not exclusively assigned to your monitor bus or that your monitor feed is being routed back to your input. I came across something like that and found that it was due to a hardware limitation in my interface.
Seeing as you didn't have this problem with other DAWs, but that the ones you are having this issue with generate the click as an audio track, you might want to see if the software provides parameters for individual track audio routing and set the out to monitor only, or something like that. _________________ Last edited by laterallateral on Fri Sep 19, 2014 3:05 pm; edited 115,726 times in total |

guitar pickup picks it up. Unfortunately, guitar pickups, especially single coils, are designed to pick up noise. guitar pickups and phone taps are essentially the same construction principal, and thers quite few noise pieces out there using one or the other to pickup electromagnetic noises you cant hear otherwise. _________________ High quality, low popularity Ecstatic Fury
